A return to 250MX competition at High Point saw Jalek Swoll display his potential with a top 10 result overall, carding an eighth-place finish in moto two and ranking as best of the factory Triumph entries after an extended period on the sidelines.

Swoll sustained a torn achilles tendon leading into the Monster Energy Supercross Championship, with extensive rehabilitation since, seeing the 25-year-old out of action for the best part of six months.

In lining up at High Point after only three weeks on his TF 250-X, Swoll raced to a 14-8 moto scorecard for 10th overall in what is a highly-competitive Pro Motocross field, suggesting that both soreness in his foot and his cardio need improving as the season progresses.

“My day was okay – we came here to High Point without any set expectations, so I’m happy with how things have gone,” recalled Swoll.”My foot is still giving me some pain, and my cardio isn’t where it should be, but overall things went well.

“I faded in the first moto a little, but was able to see the boys’ pace up front, which gives us a good idea of where we’re at. Second moto, I was able to hang in there for eighth, which is a really good start. Obviously, I want more, so I’m already looking forward to getting some more races under my belt and seeing what we can do.”

After finishing P7 in 250MX last season, Swoll was expected to make a leap toward the top five for 2025, with seven rounds of outdoors remaining before the top 20 riders from the regular season will be seeded into the SuperMotocross World Championship (SMX) Playoffs beginning in North Carolina on September 6.

Currently seeded 49th overall with his 22 points from Mount Morris, it’s likely that Swoll will miss a playoff berth, with Ryder DiFrancesco (Rockstar Energy GasGas Factory Racing) currently positioned 20th on 89 points. Instead, Swoll would have to compete to earn one of two additional places in the 22-rider line-up.
