Due to undergo an additional procedure on broken leg.
Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing’s Max Anstie will aim to return to competition in the final stages of the 2025 Pro Motocross Championship before entering the SuperMotocross World Championship (SMX) post-season.
Anstie, 32, broke his fibula in Alabama’s fifth round of the 250SX East division in Monster Energy Supercross, which hasn’t healed as effectively as anticipated and will delay his outdoor campaign.
“We tried our best following the doctors orders and sometimes these things don’t go to plan,” Anstie announced. “With that said in the timeframe, given the bone just didn’t progress as expected, now the best plan of action is to get it fixed in Vail. I’ll be back for the end of the summer and SMX.”
That update indicates that the former MXGP race winner Anstie will undergo an additional procedure on his ongoing injury complications, which is a major setback after initially sustaining the injury toward the end of March. A specific timeline hasn’t been set for his first outdoor appearance of the year.
