Back on track for the 2025 Pro Motocross Championship.
Dual Pro Motocross 250MX champion Jeremy Martin will reunite with the Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing team for the 2025 Pro Motocross Championship, making a highly-anticipated return to racing at Fox Raceway this weekend.
The 32-year-old has been on a hiatus from professional competition since early 2024, after a series of injuries led the Minnesota native to the sidelines indefinitely, taking up a role with his former team as the VIP host for their race weekend experiences during Supercross.
With a decorated career in the 250 division outdoors, Martin is set for a third stint with the organization that launched his professional career in 2012. The combination went on to take back-to-back titles together in 2014 and 2015, before he defected to the now-defunct Geico Honda for 2017.
Martin would reunite with Star Racing for the 2021 season, before transferring to the Muc-Off FXR ClubMX Yamaha team midway through 2022, and it was there that he would stay until his hiatus. His most recent outdoor appearance came at the beginning of the 2023 season, but injury at Hangtown ended his season prematurely.
“I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to line up this Saturday with the Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing team,” commented Martin. “It’s been a lot of fun grinding with the crew during the week and building myself back up to a competitive level. I’m excited to get behind the gate and enjoy the process!”
Team manager Jensen Hendler added: “We’re excited to welcome back J-Mart to the team for the outdoor season – he’s a proven title contender and knows what it takes to win. We’re looking forward to seeing what he can do this summer.”
It’s expected that Martin – who hasn’t raced since the Indianapolis Supercross in March last year – will contest the full 11-round Pro Motocross schedule, with gates to drop for round one this weekend at Southern California’s Fox Raceway.
