250SX East title prospect Levi Kitchen has outlined his injuries sustained in a scary, high-speed impact at the Daytona Supercross on Saturday night, currently remaining hospitalized in Daytona Beach.

Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider Kitchen has confirmed a broken collarbone, as well as a series of fractures in his upper-back suffered on debut at the famed speedway.

“Doing a little better now,” Kitchen explained. “I’m sore, but I broke this [right] collarbone here and have a couple of fractures in my upper-back. It was unfortunate, felt like I maybe found a new level of riding last night.

“There were some positives to take away, but I got a little bit greedy with that section. I’m just glad it wasn’t worse. I haven’t seen the crash – don’t really want to, because it was probably pretty gnarly right there. Thank you everybody, I’ll be alright.”

Kitchen was initially poised to contest the western division before sickness saw him exit Anaheim 1 prior to qualifying, which enabled him to instead transfer to the east coast series. Victory in Detroit saw him elevated to second in the point standings, before crashing out of round three in Daytona.
