Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Aaron Plessinger has been ruled out of tonight’s Foxborough Supercross after a crashing in Free Practice earlier today. It’s understood that he is undergoing further evaluation on a potential elbow injury, but the team already announced that Plessinger will not race tonight.

The Ohio-native entered the 13th round of the championship sitting in sixth in the standings, 46 points behind championship leader Jett Lawrence. Though his championship hopes had been derailed by a few mid-season races that pulled him away from title contention, this injury is certainly a tough blow for the fan favorite in what has otherwise been a strong year.

Further news will be made available on Plessinger’s condition and whether or not this is an injury that will keep him out beyond Foxborough once he and the team have evaluated its extent.
