Plans for Aaron Plessinger to race-on in today’s Nashville round of Monster Energy Supercross have been put on hold after Red Bull KTM confirmed the fan favorite will sit out round 15.

Plessinger continues to recover from the effects of a crash during practice last Saturday at East Rutherford, but has been cleared of any major injuries.

“Despite dealing with heavy bruising, swelling, and soreness, Plessinger and the team have since made the tough decision to forego lining up in Nashville, with intentions of healing up to be ready to race the penultimate round of the season in Denver,” a statement from the team announced.

Plessinger’s best result this season came with third place on the podium in Tampa, recording a total of four top-five finishes this season aboard the KTM 450 SX-F Factory Edition. He still sits seventh in the 450SX standings with only three rounds remaining in 2023.
