Following a crash while practicing last Friday, Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Jalek Swoll has undergone successful surgery to repair a spiral fracture of the humorous bone in his left arm.

Swoll, 22, was scheduled to compete in 250SX East, but will miss the opening round this Saturday in Houston, Texas. A recovery time has not yet been determined by Swoll or the team, having gone under the knife on Saturday.

“Absolutely heartbroken that I couldn’t show all the hard work me, Mike Brown, Aldon Baker and Joel Perez were working on,” Swoll said. “Truly felt like this year was going to be a big one with all the improvements we made, but I guess it just wasn’t my time. Thankful for all that support.”

It has been a crushing period in terms of injuries for 250SX East contenders, with Swoll’s injury coming off the back of news that Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki eastern regional contenders Jo Shimoda and Seth Hammaker will also be sidelined as the series commences.
