Team Honda HRC riders Ken Roczen and Jett Lawrence have set the fastest qualifying times in their classes at the 10th round of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship at Budds Creek.
Ken Roczen jumped to the top of the 450MX top-times late in the second qualifying session to secure his first choice of the gates the first moto.
Roczen’s lap of 1m 55.834 seconds was over 0.6 seconds faster than that of MXGP legend Antonio Cairoli (Red Bull KTM), who returns to the series after contesting the opening four rounds.
Monster Energy Star Yamaha Racing’s Eli Tomac finished the sessions in third, ahead of his championship rival Chase Sexton (Team Honda HRC) and defending champion Dylan Ferrandis (Monster Energy Star Yamaha Racing).
Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Joey Savatgy, who set the quickest lap in the first session, finished sixth, as Christian Craig (Monster Energy Star Yamaha Racing), Jason Anderson (Monster Energy Kawasaki), and Red Bull KTM duo Aaron Plessinger and Ryan Dungey rounded out the top 10.

Jett Lawrence topped the 250MX qualifying timesheets after duelling with Monster Energy Star Yamaha Racing’s Justin Cooper.
By the end of the second session, Lawrence’s time of 1m 56.809 seconds saw him finish almost half a second quicker than Cooper, as last week’s round winner, Jo Shimoda (Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki) completed the top three.
RJ Hampshire (Rockstar Energy Husqvarna) and Hunter Lawrence (Team Honda HRC) would fill the remaining top five positions.
Michael Mosiman (TLD Red Bull GasGas), Nate Thrasher (Monster Energy Star Yamaha Racing) finished the session in sixth and seventh, ahead of the fastest qualifier from the first session Maximus Vohland (Red Bull KTM).
Monster Energy Star Yamaha Racing debutant Guillen Farres and Pierce Brown (TLD Red Bull KTM) completed the top 10 places.
