A three-year arrangement will see Melbourne host the Australian round of the FIM World Supercross Championship (WSX) from this October, with Chad Reed set to come out of retirement for the 2022 season.

Supercross will return to Marvel Stadium for the first time since the AUS-X Open International in 2019, scheduled for 21-22 October in a deal that will span through 2024.

The opening round of the Australian Supercross Championship will take place on Friday evening before WSX takes charge on Saturday, plus there will be live performances by Peking Duk (Friday) and Bliss n Eso (Saturday). Reed will form part of the MDK Motorsports effort.
