Red Bull KTM’s Aaron Plessinger has sustained a broken arm following a training crash this week, now set to undergo surgery to repair the radius bone as soon as possible.

A return date for the number seven has not yet been announced, however, it is expected that he will be out for the remaining 2022 Monster Energy Supercross rounds.

“I was having a great day training today but unfortunately a pretty simple get-off resulted in a broken radius bone,” Plessinger explained. “I’m super disappointed as I felt like I was starting to find my groove this week.

“We made a lot of progress testing, so I’m upset that all our hard work in recent weeks has come to an abrupt end for the season. I’ll do what needs to be done to recover fully but will most likely miss the remainder of the Supercross season.”

Plessinger is currently 10th in the 450SX points standings with his best result being second at Oakland’s round two, most recently finishing seventh at Minneapolis.
