250SX East rookie Jett Reynolds unfortunately missed his Monster Energy Supercross debut at Minneapolis due to a wrist injury sustained in a media day crash, the racing return for the Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider not yet determined.

Reynolds suffered a difficult lead-up to the 2022 Monster Energy Supercross season having to recover from a broken pelvis, not completely fit, but still determined to line up at Minneapolis.

The highly-rated 18-year-old then crashed in his opening laps around U.S. Bank Stadium, going over the ‘bars in the rhythm lane and injuring his right wrist upon impact. It was a disappointing way to be ruled out before the eastern region opener began.

“It’s a bummer because he got hurt in the pre-season and so he was off for a while, then he came back and there wasn’t a lot of time to get ready,” team owner Mitch Payton told PulpMX. “We were kind of thinking, ‘is he really ready?’… Second or third lap – he wasn’t going fast, just cruising and maybe that is what bit him.”

With Reynolds on the sidelines, Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki was left to field the experienced two-rider combination of Austin Forkner and Cameron McAdoo, finishing second and third, respectively, in the 250SX class main event.
