The structure of the 2022 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship has been released as tickets for the new season are now on sale.

Pre-sale began today for preferred customers by signing up through the series website and will run through next Monday, 11 October, before tickets will then become available to the public from Tuesday.

The 17-race schedule returns to its traditional weekend routing format as the series visits 15 cities spread across 13 states including California, Colorado, Massachusetts, Michigan and Washington.

Triple Crown events will return, the first of three to take place on 5 February, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, AZ, followed by rounds eight and 13 on 26 February at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX, and 9 April at the Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis, MO.

The 250SX West championship will be contested at Anaheim, Oakland, San Diego, Anaheim 2, Glendale, Anaheim 3, Seattle and Denver, with 250SX East beginning on 19 February at Minneapolis, followed by Arlington, Daytona, Detroit, Indianapolis, St. Louis and Foxborough.

Next year’s Dave Coombs Sr. East/West Showdown races will be held on Saturday, 16 April, at Atlanta Motor Speedway and Saturday, 7 May, at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City.

In addition, it’s been confirmed that Indianapolis was inspired by a winning design from a Monster Energy Supercross, The Official Video Game 4, track editor contest held earlier this year.

Six Supercross events will also serve as the second and Premiere round of qualifying for the Supercross Futures AMA National Championship, for the first-time ever held as part of the Saturday race-day schedule. Those events will take place at Oakland, Anaheim 2, Glendale, Arlington, Atlanta and Foxborough.

The top four athletes from each Premiere qualifying race will advance to the Supercross Futures AMA National Championship where 24 athletes will vie to become the 250SX Futures Class Champion. The Supercross Futures AMA National Championship will take place at the Salt Lake City finals on 7 May.

Kicking off its 23rd year of racing KTM Junior Supercross presented by Wells Fargo will return to competition and the 2022 program will feature participants racing aboard KTM’s highly competitive electric KTM SX-E 5 platform during 11 events.

FanFest is currently planned for all rounds except Minneapolis and Detroit. The expansive outside footprint will feature the race team rigs, Monster Energy exhibitions, sponsor displays, photo opportunity set-ups, food and beverages, plus the red-carpet styled Ride of Fame.

As the pandemic recovery progresses, Supercross is monitoring changes to government mandates, public health guidelines and industry standards and is working closely with our venue partners to adjust protocols for the safety and wellness of guests based on state and local requirements.
