It was a roller coaster year for Michael Mosiman if you look at the results sheet, but the final few rounds of Pro Motocross changed his outlook heading into the off-season.

While he missed multiple rounds of both the Monster Energy Supercross and Pro Motocross championships, Mosiman finished out his first year with the TLD Red Bull GasGas team strong.

Following an injury sustained in the break ahead of the final four rounds of the championship, Mosiman returned to action ahead of schedule, immediately jumping into contention for moto wins.

With a career-best result of second place coming in the penultimate round of the season at Fox Raceway, Mosiman’s home race at Hangtown did not go to plan.

Despite the 10th place finish, Mosiman is headed to the off-season feeling better than ever as he enters his fifth season in the professional ranks.

“It was a rough day if you look at the results sheet but I’m going to remember it as a lesson and not a loss,” Mosiman explained. “We have learned a lot in these last few rounds and we’ve got so much to build on.

“I’m excited, happy and proud of the team. I’m becoming a champion and they are becoming a championship team and it’s just cool to see the culture and myself change over these last few rounds.

“When I was out, I thought maybe I would race the last round, and here I am three rounds in with a couple moto-podiums and the expectation has changed all-around.

“I’m excited to rest up and have a good off-season and I’m going to come out really sharp for next year.”
