An enlarged spleen has placed Chase Sexton on the sidelines ahead of Fox Raceway’s 11th round of Lucas Oil Pro Motocross, further depleting the 450MX field.

With just two rounds remaining, Team Honda HRC’s Sexton is the latest to be ruled out after discovering the problem with his spleen after tests this week.

“Unfortunately I will not be lining up tomorrow for round 11 of Pro Motocross,” Sexton confirmed. “After tests and an ultrasound this week I have found that I have an enlarged spleen and that it wouldn’t be safe to race with it.

“I’m gutted not to be able to race and see all you California fans. Further updates will be coming soon, thank you for the support.”

Sexton is currently fourth in the premier class point-standings, last year’s Pala winner also expected to be in line to represent Team USA at the Motocross of Nations (MXoN) prior to the AMA’s decision not the enter the 2021 event.
