With all three riders sidelined due to injury, the TLD Red Bull GasGas team has announced that they’ll sit out the ninth round of the 2021 Pro Motocross season altogether.

The factory GasGas outfit came back from the two-weekend break in action down two riders as they headed to Unadilla for round eight of the championship.

Justin Barcia and Michael Mosiman both suffered separate practice crashes that sidelined them indefinitely, leaving just Pierce Brown to fly the flag for the team in the 250MX class.

Brown went on to crash big in the second moto of the day in the New York round, sustaining a fractured collarbone and concussion in the incident, now sidelining the team as a whole for Budds Creek.

“We are completely gutted to say that the entire team will be out and not racing this weekend at Budds Creek,” the team announced. “After a tough last weekend for Pierce Brown, he will join teammates Michael Mosiman and Justin Barcia on the sidelines.

“The boys are working extremely hard and doing everything possible to be 100 percent healthy so they can be back racing as soon as possible. Thank you to all the fans who have shown us and the riders nothing but support over the last two weeks.”

The expected return of all three riders is not clear at this point, it was said that Barcia could be expected to return for the final two rounds of the season, while Mosiman remains day-to-day as he continues to recover.

For Brown, it remains to be seen if his broken collarbone will heal in time to return to the championship by season’s end.
