Nate Thrasher is awaiting further evaluation on a shoulder injury sustained in an opening-lap crash at Spring Creek sidelined him for the second moto.

The Monster Energy Star Racing rider hit the ground hard in an incident Max Vohland (Red Bull KTM) while running second at the start of moto one.

The crash resulted in his shoulder ‘popping out’, subsequently ending his day on the spot after what was his best start to a moto all season.

“Not the way I wanted my weekend to go,” Thrasher explained. “Got taken out first lap in the rollers which put an end to our day!

“Shoulder is pretty sore after popping out, but going to get it checked out this week to get further details!”

His Pro Motocross season hasn’t gone the way he’d hoped after notching two wins in his rookie campaign in Monster Energy Supercross, with his best result so far in the outdoor series coming at Thunder Valley with a 12th overall.

“Not the best of luck these last few weeks, but I’ll post an update when I know more. Thanks to my team, Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha, and everyone that supports me!”
