Team Honda HRC’s Chase Sexton is looking to improve as the 2021 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross series heads to RedBud after a fairly frustrating start to the season.

While the second-year 450 rider has had what many would consider a solid start to the season, Sexton has made it clear he’s looking for more out of himself in 2021.

He’s managed a podium, with second in the season-opening moto, and has only missed the top five once in the first six races of the season.

After finding the front group in the opening moto of round three at High Point, a minor crash pushed him back to fourth. Following the round, Sexton rued his moto two performance.

“In the second moto I just didn’t have much in the tank; I was pretty fatigued after the first one,” Sexton explained. “I struggled a little bit during the week, but we have some time to rest now and get back to work.”

Salvaging a fifth place overall on the day after reported sickness throughout the week would suggest that we’re yet to see the best from him this season. He’ll get another shot at it this weekend as the series returns to action for round four at the famed RedBud MX on 3 July.
