The final qualifying sessions from the Atlanta Motor Speedway residency have concluded and it was Jason Anderson again topping the 450SX class, while Hunter Lawrence grabbed the top spot in 250SX West action for the first time in his career.

Anderson came out swinging in the final round of 450SX qualifying to grab the top spot for the second race in a row, with the fastest lap of 1m35.848s.

Class rookie Chase Sexton (Team Honda HRC) continues to show he’s finding rhythm and adjusting nicely on his CRF450R. After back-to-back podium finishes, he finished qualifying in second.

Sexton’s teammate Ken Roczen showed great speed as he continues his bid for the championship, finishing third fastest in qualifying today. Fourth was Malcolm Stewart (Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha) who was the first rider in the 1m37s range, with a 1:37.502s lap.

Fifth place went to Dean Wilson (Rockstar Energy Husqvarna) ahead of reigning champion Eli Tomac (Monster Energy Kawasaki). Tomac looks to bounce back from his fifth-place finish on Tuesday night at round 14.

Points leader Cooper Webb (Red Bull KTM) was seventh fastest with a 1m38.024s lap. He’ll look to find some speed ahead of the night show, sitting just 13 points ahead of Roczen in the championship.

Dylan Ferrandis (Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha) continued to show great pace in his rookie season, finishing qualifying in eighth, while Justin Barcia (TLD Red Bull GasGas) and Martin Davalos (Team Tedder KTM) rounded out the top 10.

The final qualifying sessions for the 250SX West class came to a close with Hunter Lawrence (Team Honda HRC) at the top of the timesheets for the first time in his career.

Lawrence laid down a 1m39.208s lap to take the top spot over points leader Justin Cooper, who was over 0.9s back in second.

Third was Cameron McAdoo (Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki), who looked to be recovered pretty well after his crash Tuesday. Unfortunately, in the closing moments of the second qualifying session, McAdoo crashed hard, putting his night into question.

Garrett Marchbanks (ClubMX Yamaha) was fourth fastest on the day and was the first rider in the 1m41s range. The Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha rookies Nate Thrasher and Jarrett Frye were fifth and sixth place.

They were followed by another rookie Seth Hammaker (Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki) in seventh. Hammaker crashed hard in the first qualifying session but was able to recover for the second session.

Chris Blose (GasGas) was eighth with Jalek Swoll (Rockstar Energy Husqvarna) and Mitchell Harrison (Muc-Off Honda) rounding out the top 10.
