Freddie Noren was fortunate to escape injury in his ‘crazy start crash’ during moto two at Thunder Valley, remounting to claim a strong amount of points in 13th position.

The JGRMX Yoshimura Suzuki rider finished 11th in the opening encounter, but became tangled out of the gates in moto two and went down in dramatic fashion.

“I’m more comfortable, but I’m not finishing in the results where I feel like I should and can be,” Noren said.

“In the second moto I had a crazy start crash. I’m glad I didn’t get hurt in it and I was able to get going and back to 13th place, which was good. I’m looking forward to Pala next weekend to finish the season strong.”

It was a convincing effort from the popular Swede, salvaging 11th overall and currently sitting 12th in the 450MX standings with Fox Raceway remaining this Saturday. He’s now 22 points outside of teammate Joey Savatgy, who is 10th in points.
