Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Mitchell Harrison raced to his fourth top-10 overall finish of the season at Round 6 of the Pro Motocross Championship at Spring Creek MX Park. His 11-9 moto scores placed him ninth overall for the round.

Teammate Cameron McAdoo had a good day going with a sixth in the first moto, but went down in Moto 2 and was unable to return to the race, eventually awarded 14th overall.

Normally when the riders come to Millville, they are faced with summer storms and hot, humid conditions, but that was not the case on Saturday. The temperatures were a welcomed change and were very fall-like. Harrison started Moto 1 with a good start in the top 10, but fell back to 11th on Lap 6. He maintained and was able to cross the finish line holding that position. In Moto 2, Harrison got another good start in 10th and worked hard to round out the day ninth.

“It wasn’t the best day as I couldn’t really get into a flow and make any good passes,” said Harrison. “Considering I didn’t feel great out there, I’ll take a top-10. I’m looking forward to bouncing back in Florida.”

McAdoo got the day going with a great start in Moto 1 and raced near the front the whole race, taking the checkered flag in sixth. He was ready to back that finish up in Moto 2 and was on his way with another solid start in sixth. On Lap 3 he went down and after checking in at the mechanic’s area, decided it wasn’t best to go back out. His 6-38 moto scores placed him 14th overall.

“It’s such a bummer when you have a decent day going and it is derailed by a crash,” said McAdoo. “I felt good most of the day so I’m hoping we can take the week to recover, take the positives from this race and get back out there in Florida.”
