Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Mitchell Harrison and Cameron McAdoo put in a solid day’s work at Ironman MX to finish ninth and 13th, respectively. Both had hard-fought moments inside the top 10 and gained valuable confidence as the series closed out its third round of the season.

Harrison, the newest team member of the squad, showed he’s got his starts dialed as he continued to start at the front in both motos. In Moto 1, he started in third and was trying to find his comfort on the fast track. He stayed in the top-10 for most of the moto but a few mistakes forced him to finish the moto in 11th. Harrison got another great start in Moto 2 and was able to hold on to eighth that moto to finish his day in ninth overall.

“I am really happy with my starts and now I just need to keep some small mistakes to a minimum to help me stay near the front,” said Harrison. “It wasn’t too memorable of a day, but I am already getting excited for two rounds at my home track at Red Bud. We’ll see if we can get it on the podium next week.”

It was a tough day for McAdoo, but the day actually showed McAdoo’s never-give-up attitude. In Moto 1, he started in 14th and worked the whole moto to climb into the top 10 where he eventually finished ninth. Moto 2 was an uphill battle after going down in a first turn pileup, having to come through the pack on the quick and tricky track. McAdoo gave it his all and was able to finish the moto in 13th.

“I felt good during the day but couldn’t make a lot of it work in my favor,” said McAdoo. “My starts definitely hurt me a bit and I’ll be working to get those more dialed for Red Bud. We still have a lot of racing left and I know I have more to show. Really looking forward to two chances next weekend.”
