Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Zach Osborne admits he allowed a strong finish to escape him in the second half of Oakland’s main event, the two-time 250SX East champion winding up outside the top 10.

Osborne made a solid start in the 21-lap affair, positioning himself inside the top five before fading in the back half of the race, ultimately crossing the chequered flag in P11.

“My starts were still good tonight, it was just a really frustrating finish after being in the top five halfway through the main event,” Osborne explained.

“I need to work on some things this week and come out swinging in San Diego. I feel like I had a really good shot at a good finish tonight but I just kind of let it escape me there in the last half of the main.”

Osborne is positioned 10th in the 450SX championship standings as Monster Energy Supercross heads top Petco Park in San Deigo this Saturday night for round six.
